Antonios S. Vovolinis was born in 1859. His father, Spyridon Vovolinis (from Corfu), was appointed as the diplomatic representative of the Ionian State to the Sublime Porte. In Constantinople, he met and married Charikleia Vamva. Spyridon and Charikleia had two children, Konstantinos and Antonios. Antonios Vovolinis read law at the University of Athens and received his doctorate in 1880. He initially pursued a career in the judiciary but continued practicing law until the end of his life, providing legal services to many organizations and institutions, from the French Embassy in Greece to the Hellenic State Railways Company. In 1909, he married Maria Skepasthianou, with whom he had two sons, Spyridon (1910) and Konstantinos (1913). He passed away in 1921.
